845 Design Group was proud to serve as the architectural consultant for the design-build team with RJN Group and Boller Construction Company for the West Park Wet Weather Storage Facility in Wilmette. The project consisted of a 5.5 million gallon underground storage tank located below a multi-use recreational facility in the Village of Wilmette. The tank provides much-needed collection system capacity during wet-weather events.
845 Design Group was responsible for the design of the building that houses the pumps, back up generator, control panels, and odor control system for the new underground storage tank. The building was designed to complement the adjacent park facilities and homes by using similar exterior materials and architectural elements.
This project has been submitted for Public Works Project of the Year for 2016 with the American Public Works Association (APWA).
